Overview

Part of the Houou Biden fruit selection, this apricot expression is crafted by Kobayashi Shuzo from carefully selected Japanese apricots, Japanese sake, distilled alcohol, and sugar. Because Japanese apricot production is extremely limited, the brewery describes it as one of the rarest offerings in the Houou Biden lineup. The delicate fruit is handled carefully, and the product is aged for more than five years, developing a soft, rounded texture, gentle acidity, and a rich, elegant aroma. As a natural product made without artificial additives, slight color variations may occur without affecting quality.

Founded in 1872 in Oyama, Tochigi Prefecture, Kobayashi Shuzo has brewed Houou Biden for more than 150 years. The brewery draws on underground water from the Nikko mountain system and continues to express its local environment through refined sake and fruit-driven releases.
