Shipping policy

At SAKEZEN, we are committed to ensuring that your order is processed and shipped as efficiently as possible. All orders (Other than glassware products) must be signed for by someone over the age of 21, as alcohol shipments require verification by law. Orders will be packed and shipped within two business days of receipt. Please note that the shipping carrier may vary depending on the regulations of the destination state.

We prioritize overnight and second-day shipping orders to ensure the quickest delivery possible. If you have any questions or concerns regarding shipping, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team at support@sakezen.us.

Shipping Policy for Alcohol
We currently ship sake only within the United States, and shipping times may vary depending on the carrier and destination. Please note that we can only ship to states that allow alcohol shipments from out of state, and not all U.S. states permit such shipments. Based on current regulations, we can ship to the following states: California, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Louisiana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming. Since state regulations can change, we recommend contacting our customer service team for the most up-to-date information on eligible shipping destinations.

Sake Storage, Packaging & Transit Conditions
All sake is stored in commercial refrigeration until it is prepared for fulfillment. Orders shipped by UPS or FedEx use professional alcohol-shipping packaging; these carrier shipments are not transported through a refrigerated cold chain.

During especially hot weather, selected sake may receive additional Cool Shield Wrap protection. This additional packaging is intended to provide added protection from heat exposure, but it does not maintain or guarantee a specific temperature during transit. Transit time and conditions vary based on carrier service, weather, and destination.

Because SAKEZEN is based in Southern California, California orders generally travel shorter distances than out-of-state shipments, which can help reduce heat exposure, especially during warmer months.

Shipping Policy for Glassware
We are pleased to offer nationwide shipping across the United States for the glassware products.

• All glassware orders will be carefully packed to ensure safe delivery.
• Shipping costs will be calculated at checkout based on your location and chosen delivery method.
• Orders will be processed and shipped within 2 business days of purchase.
• Please inspect your package upon arrival. In the unlikely event that your glassware arrives damaged, contact our customer service team within 48 hours of delivery for assistance.

Same-Day Local Delivery (Orange County & Los Angeles)
Same-day local delivery is available to eligible addresses in select Orange County and Los Angeles areas. Availability and the live delivery fee are calculated at checkout after you enter your full delivery address. Orders are prepared Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM–4:00 PM PT; please allow up to two hours before courier pickup. A recipient age 21 or older must be present with a valid government-issued photo ID, and alcohol orders cannot be left unattended. If same-day delivery is unavailable, you may still select an available standard shipping option at checkout. For large-quantity, high-value, next-day, or scheduled local delivery requests, please contact us before ordering.
